MISSION STATEMENT:
The Mission of Easter Seals ES Riders is to provide Segways to individuals who would benefit from increased mobility.
Overview:
The Segway has provided health benefits such as stronger muscles and increased circulation along with an immeasurable increase in self esteem. To date, five people with disabilities affecting their mobility have received Segways. They now form the nucleus of the ES Rider Team. It is the goal of ES Riders to continue to grow this team, the size of which is unlimited. The gift of a Segway enables individuals the “freedom to move.” In addition, team members enjoy participation in parades, walks, and other events. Every day Easter Seals and ES Riders strive to give individuals and families hope. ES Riders offers a unique approach to helping the people who need us most.
